Operation WiA Tunes |
| Mission Statement Do you like music? Country, Rock ‘n’ Roll, classical, alternative, pop, rap or hip-hop? Music can be therapeutic, soothing to the mind, body and soul. This is why Operation WiA Tunes (Wounded in Action) was created, to provide wounded soldiers at Walter Reed Army Medical Center with a way to purchase their own choices in music, free of personal charges, to aid their rehabilitation process. Therefore, it is our mission to: |
* Inspire fellow Americans to donate iTunes gift cards to wounded soldiers to help them cope emotionally while regaining their physical and mental strength during their stay at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. * Operation WiA Tunes’ short-term goal is to provide enough donations for an ongoing program at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. With further outreach and public donations, Operation WiA Tunes’ future ambition is to introduce Operation WiA Tunes at military medical bases nationally and at U.S. Military posts overseas. |
| This small gesture will allow the wounded men and women to purchase and download music to draw a smile, boost morale, and give tribute to their fallen brothers in arms. With this simple act, we can show our appreciation to these remarkable men and women who serve our country for all that they have given for America, for us. |
